Ride A Pet mutations
5 confirmed multipliers, the five weather events behind them, and an honest account of what the tables still contradict.
What the official event listing says
S1 official APIThe developer filed an update with Roblox titled MUTATIONS, subtitled More Content, running from 19 September 2026 14:00 UTC to 26 September 2026 14:00 UTC. The description attached to it is a single sentence: mutations can be stacked with weather traits. It is the only official statement this system has ever had.
That sentence settles one question this page had left open and leaves the important ones alone. It says weather traits are a layer mutations stack on top of, which makes them two systems rather than one system under two names. What it does not say is what a new mutation multiplies, what it costs, or how many exist.
The confirmed table below is unchanged by this. Nothing in the official listing confirms a multiplier, so every figure here keeps the grade it had and the rungs that rest on a single source keep that label.
Event window, confirmed details and open questionsRead this before the table
Every multiplier on this page is graded S4 Single source. They come from third-party coverage and have not been read off a gameplay frame. The ordering is almost certainly right. The exact multipliers are the part to treat as provisional, and this page would rather say that than imply a precision it does not have.

Confirmed mutations
Sources indicate five mutations exist in total, and as of 2026-09-20 all five are published above with a grade on each. The count is settled. What is not settled is the scope: three readings disagree about whether these multipliers touch speed, cash, or both, and no source has been read from the game itself.
| Mutation | Multiplier | Effect |
|---|---|---|
| Shocked | 2x | Reported as a 2x speed bonus specifically, strong enough to reverse a speed comparison between two pets. |
| Volted | 3x | Triples a base stat. Which base stat is not stated by any corroborated source. |
| Rage | 4x | Quadruples a base stat. Which base stat is not stated by any corroborated source. |
| Void | 10x | A ten times multiplier sitting above the lower band. Whether it multiplies speed or cash is directly contradicted between two sources. |
| Eternal | 100x | The top of the ladder on every account that names it. The size of the multiplier is corroborated; what it applies to is not. |
How mutations behave
- A mutation raises a base stat by a multiplier. It does not replace the base value.
- A pet can carry one hatched mutation and one weather trait at the same time. It cannot carry two weather traits, and a higher tier weather trait replaces a lower one while a lower one never replaces a higher one.
- Because the multiplier applies to the base, the same mutation is worth more on a pet with a higher base, in absolute terms. The percentage gain is identical either way.
Because a mutation is a multiplier and not a replacement, it never reshuffles the base stat rankings. A mutated Snail does not become competitive with an unmutated Kitsune, since Kitsune starts at a base speed of 1B before any multiplier is applied. What a mutation does change is the opportunity cost of your best roll. Spending a 4x on the fastest pet you own produces a large absolute gain. Spending it on a mid-roster pet produces a small one and leaves you holding a better multiplier on a worse mount.
That also explains why the two axes on the pet database matter here. Speed mutations pay off during the egg loop, where reaching a distant nest before the restock is the whole game. Income mutations pay off on the plot, where the goal is affording radar tiers and nest upgrades. If a mutation boosts only one of the two, the pet to attach it to depends on which half of the game you are currently short of.
Where mutations come from, per one creator
S4 single sourceThis is the first account found that says where mutations come from rather than only what they multiply. Mutations arrive through weather events. Five exist, each lasting five minutes, and all five have an equal chance of appearing whenever the weather changes. While an event is active, eggs on the map can pick up the matching mutation and hatch into pets carrying it. Pets already owned can also roll one, with three rules: a pet placed in your pen can, the pet you are currently riding can, and a pet held in your inventory cannot.
The names given are shock, voltid, rage, void, eternal. This account calls the second rung voltid where the earlier video account calls it Volted. Auto captions garble proper nouns routinely, so the spelling is recorded and neither form is treated as settled.
No multiplier is given for four of the five, the five minute duration is one creator statement, and nothing here is read from the game itself.

Which stat a mutation actually raises
Every mutation multiplies base stats, but WHICH base stats is only stated for one of the three. The Shocked mutation is described as a 2x SPEED bonus specifically, with the note that it can completely reverse a performance comparison. Nothing corroborated states whether Volted and Rage affect speed, income, or both. The distinction matters because a speed-only mutation does nothing for a pet sitting on your plot, and an income-only mutation does nothing for the egg loop.
The calculator on this site applies the chosen multiplier to both speed and income. That is an assumption, not a documented behaviour, and it is labelled as such wherever the calculator is used. It was previously flagged as probably wrong for Shocked because the only corroborated description said speed. As of 2026-09-19 there are two accounts and they disagree, so the assumption now matches one of them and contradicts the other, which keeps the label rather than removing it.
| Mutation | Stat it raises | Grade |
|---|---|---|
| Shocked | speed | S4 |
| Volted | not established | S5 |
| Rage | not established | S5 |
| Void | disputed: speed or cash | S5 |
| Eternal | disputed: speed or cash | S5 |
The in-game Index lists this ladder, and it disagrees with the third party tables
The Index panel has a third tab beside Pets and Eggs, and it lists the mutation multipliers. It is the closest thing to an authoritative list of this system that exists, and it raises the number of corroborated multipliers from three to four.
It also supplies the shape of the ladder rather than only its bottom. The descriptions of the tab put five weather mutations in a range running from a 2x at the low end up to a 100x at the top. If the bottom three are the 2x, 3x and 4x already published here, the gap narrows from two unnamed entries to one.
Two cautions travel with that. The top entry shares its name with the highest radar tier, so two systems use one word and it would be easy to merge them by mistake. And the tab is described as listing weather mutations, which would make mutations a weather event rather than a shop item or an egg outcome. Nothing else found corroborates that framing yet.
The panel itself, its three tabs and the milestone rewards are covered on the Index page.
Mutations still open, and what would close them
Every rung of the ladder is now published above with its own grade, so nothing is being withheld for lack of a name or a number. What remains unresolved is the scope, not the list: one table makes every weather trait a speed multiplier, an earlier tier list reads the two top rungs as cash with no speed, and a third family of hatched mutations multiplies money and speed together. Three readings, no measurement.
Read the mutation roll result directly from a gameplay frame, then update this file and the page in the same commit.
What one creator reports, and this page does not confirm
S4 single sourceA tier list published on 17 September 2026 names five mutations and puts a number beside each: Shocked at 2x, Volted at 3x, Rage at 4x, Void at 10x cash with no speed, and Eternal at 100x cash. The three lowest names match the three multipliers this page published from the start, which makes the list a check on the existing reading rather than an extension of it. The other two are the rungs that rested on this list alone until a second table filled them in, and they sit at the top of the range.
The same list agrees with something this page already records from a different direction. The Index mutation tab is described as showing five weather mutations running from a 2x at the low end to a 100x at the top. Five entries, 2x to 100x: that is the same shape, reported by a source that does not cite the Index and is not cited by it. Agreement on a structure is weaker than agreement on a number, but it is stronger than one account alone.
It is still S4, and it stays there for a reason. The creator never says where the figures come from, no second source reproduces them, and the auto captions behind this summary mangle proper nouns, so the names are the least reliable part of the whole thing. Nothing on this page is published on the strength of one video, which is why every rung above carries its own grade rather than one blanket grade for the whole ladder.
Two further conflicts are recorded here rather than resolved. A different video, embedded further down this page, names Gold, Diamond and Rainbow as mutations. None of those appears in the five above and the two sets do not overlap at all, so either they describe different systems or one of the two accounts is describing something other than mutations. Separately, a third creator describes mutations arriving through storm events, with pets worth keeping kept on the ranch when one starts, and repeatedly attributes that to what it calls the source.
The official MUTATIONS event windowA lead on the names this page is missing
Every rung on this page carries its own grade, and two of the five still rest on a single table. The video below names mutations this site had not seen when the page was first written, which is recorded as a lead rather than a source: a video title is not a value, and nothing here is published on the strength of one.

DO THIS BEFORE THE NEW UPDATE in Ride A Pet! (GOLD, DIAMOND, RAINBOW MUTATIONS) Roblox

What the captions add
The title names three mutations this site has never seen: Gold, Diamond and Rainbow. None of them appears in the three multipliers this site can corroborate, and the Index tab reportedly lists five. This video is recorded as a lead rather than a source, because a title is not a value, but a named set of three is a specific enough claim to be worth watching for in Update 1. Published the day before this snapshot, which is why it has almost no views yet.
The mutations page lists what it can prove and states the size of the gap. This is the only signal found on what fills that gap, so it belongs next to the gap.
Five mutations named, with a number beside each
A one minute tier list that names five mutations and gives every one of them a multiplier, including the two rungs that a second table has since filled in. It is shown rather than quoted because every figure in it is uncited and the names arrive through auto captions, so a reader is better served hearing the claim and its uncertainty in the same place.

What the captions add
The single source found that lists five mutations with a number each: Shocked at 2x, Volted at 3x, Rage at 4x, Void at 10x cash with no speed, and Eternal at 100x cash, described as the only top tier. Two things make it useful rather than merely new. The three lowest names are the three multipliers this site already publishes, so the list double-checks the existing reading instead of merely extending it. And the range it describes, five entries from 2x at the low end to 100x at the top, is the same shape the Index mutation tab is described as showing, from an account that does not cite the Index. It also reports a roll mechanic this site has never had: mutations arrive with a lightning strike, and a stronger strike replaces a weaker one already on the pet, so a pet holds one at a time and a better roll overwrites it. The creator never says where the figures come from, no second source reproduces them, and auto captions mangle proper nouns, so every name is treated as a lead.
This page publishes three multipliers because three are what it can corroborate, and it has never been able to name the other two. This is the first account that names them and numbers the whole set, and its shape agrees with the Index description already on the page. Showing it beats quoting it: a reader can hear the claim, see that one person is speaking, and weigh it against the three names this page will stand behind.
Where mutations come from, and the scope this page could not settle
The first account found of the trigger: five weather events, five minutes each, an equal chance for all five, and eggs on the map that pick up the matching mutation while the weather lasts. It also states that shock multiplies speed, money per second and sale value together, which contradicts the speed only reading above, and says pets sitting in the inventory cannot mutate at all.

What the captions add
This is the second independent account of a five mutation set, and the first to describe how they arrive. It names the five as shock, voltid, rage, void and eternal, each tied to a weather event that lasts five minutes, and says all five have an equal chance whenever the weather changes. Eggs on the map can pick up the matching mutation while its weather is active, so the egg hatches into a pet already carrying it. Existing pets can roll one too, but with rules: a pet in your pen can, the pet you are riding can, and a pet sitting in your inventory cannot. On values it goes further than any other source for the bottom rung, stating that shock gives 2x speed, 2x money per second and 2x sale value at once. That last sentence contradicts the speed-only reading this page carries, and the disagreement is published rather than averaged. The names arrive through auto captions, which garble proper nouns, which is why Volted appears here as voltid and no name is treated as settled.
The mutations page has lived with three corroborated multipliers and two it refused to name. A second account naming the same five, from a different creator who also describes the weather mechanic, is the closest this site has come to a check on that ladder, and the scope conflict it creates is more useful to a reader than one confident answer.
Which weather event grants which trait
S3Both accounts pair each weather event with the trait it grants, and the pairing is identical in both: Thunder gives Shocked, Volt gives Volted, Rage gives Rage, Void gives Void and Eternal gives Eternal. That turns the ladder from a list of names into a forecast, because the event showing on screen tells you which rung is on offer before you commit a pet to it.
| Weather event | Trait granted | Cash | Speed |
|---|---|---|---|
| Thunder | Shocked | 2x | 2x |
| Volt | Volted | 3x | 3x |
| Rage | Rage | 4x | 4x |
| Void | Void | 10x | not confirmed |
| Eternal | Eternal | 100x | not confirmed |
The scope question for the bottom three rungs. The 2026-09-17 account states a cash figure and a speed figure for the 2x, 3x and 4x rungs in one table, which is the first structured source to fill both columns rather than one.
The top two rungs. Two published tables now agree that Void and Eternal name a cash figure and no speed figure, which is not the same as saying they leave speed alone, and an earlier table reads the whole weather family as speed only.
Both accounts say the strike is random: an active event is an opportunity rather than a guarantee, and neither publishes a per-pet strike chance.

A second wiki published the full ladder, and it disagrees about what the top rungs multiply
S4A second structured table names all five weather traits with a multiplier each: Shocked x2, Volted x3, Rage x4, Void x10 and Eternal x100. The bottom three match what this site already published, which makes them two-source values. The top two were unnamed here until now, and one of them, Eternal at 100x, is corroborated by a second independent description of the in-game Index tab. Void at 10x rests on this one source alone.
| Trait | Multiplier | Grade | What supports it |
|---|---|---|---|
| Shocked | x2 | S3 | Two sources: the table this site transcribed, and the Fandom table. |
| Volted | x3 | S3 | The same two sources agree. |
| Rage | x4 | S3 | The same two sources agree. |
| Void | x10 | S4 | Only the Fandom table publishes this rung. It was one of the two previously unnamed entries. |
| Eternal | x100 | S3 | Fandom lists 100x and the Index tab description independently puts a 100x at the top of the ladder. |
What the top rungs multiply is not settled. The Fandom table makes every weather trait a speed multiplier. An earlier tier list read the same two names as 10x and 100x cash with no speed at all. This site publishes the multipliers and the disagreement, and does not choose between them.
Source: Ride A Pet Fandom wiki, Mutations page, read 2026-09-20. The grade applies to the table as a whole; each rung carries its own grade in the third column.
A second mutation family this site had not recorded
A second mutation family this site had not documented at all. Hatched mutations are rolled when a pet hatches and they raise money and speed together, unlike weather traits, which every description found here raises speed alone.
Three creators independently described the same three mutations on the day Update 1 opened, and one of them read them straight off the update screen: gold at two times cash and two times speed, diamond at three and three, rainbow at ten and ten. Two of the three state outright that the update screen says these stack with weather traits. That takes the family from a single third-party table to four accounts, which is the reason its grade moves.
| Hatched mutation | Money | Speed |
|---|---|---|
| Gold | x2 | x2 |
| Diamond | x3 | x3 |
| Rainbow | x10 | x10 |
- The cheapest explanation yet for why coverage of this game disagrees about whether mutations touch money: the word mutation covers two separate systems, and a source may only be describing one of them.
- A money multiplier attached to a named mutation, which no weather trait description found here provides.
- A possible resolution to the 10x and 100x disagreement. If one source was describing hatched mutations and the other weather traits, both readings could be true at the same time.
- A filmed confirmation on the day of release, which is the only kind of corroboration available for a system that has no published documentation.

The Magma mutation exists, and it is not on the ladder above
S3This site refused to publish a magma mutation until 5 October 2026, on the grounds that the only source naming it was a single wiki page of doubtful reliability. That reasoning has now been overtaken: three independent creators filmed the mechanic, and all three describe the same shape. Anyone searching for a magma mutation in Ride A Pet should read the failure behaviour below before spending a rare egg on it. It is a chance-based conversion performed on an egg, not a multiplier rung on a pet, which is why it does not belong in the ladder above and why adding it there would have been wrong.
It is done on an egg, not a pet
The egg has to spawn near or around the volcano and reach it with time still on its break timer. A Volcanic Egg is reported to work too, by dropping it at the top after escaping the interior rather than at the cave floor. Searching for how to get the magma mutation ride a pet therefore lands on a procedure rather than a drop table, which is the part that is actually settled.
There is a prompt at the top of the volcano
Inside the volcano the route descends from the cave entrance at the back. At the top, an option appears to drop the egg in, and that is the whole interaction. Two of the three accounts reach it by the same filmed route.
It is a chance, not a conversion
All three accounts describe repeated failures before a success, and one creator closes by asking readers to post how many attempts it took them. No rate has been measured by anyone, so none is published here.
A failed egg cannot be retried
Two creators demonstrate this independently: after a failure the drop option is gone from that egg. One picks the same egg back up and finds no prompt available. This is the single most useful thing to know before spending a rare egg on it.
A failed attempt is reported to deduct a fixed amount from the egg’s remaining time. Two creators state the same figure and one of them reads it off the on-screen counter, so it is a reading rather than an automatic-caption artefact. It is still not published as a value on this page, because no one has measured it twice on a controlled egg.
Two further points are single-source and stay unverified. One creator reports that the machine does not appear at all until the account has rebirthed, and that the egg must be carried in on a flying mount. Another reports that dropping the egg and flying away immediately, apparently to cancel the roll, cancels the mutation and makes the timer run faster. The second is a negative result from someone testing a shortcut, and it is the reason not to try it.
Not published: the multiplier. One video title claims a figure and the captions carry the same number, but a title is a creator’s marketing and auto captions are not a measurement. What the mutation actually does is also unknown: the most detailed account ends with its creator saying he could not work out the effect and would make another video. Sources: GamerNom, 27 September 2026, embedded below; ITzShx, 27 September 2026 and Zro, 29 September 2026, both corroborating the same failure behaviour and cited here rather than given a slot of their own. Checked 5 October 2026.
Update 1 also added a weather event that multiplies nothing
S4Update 1 added a weather event whose effect is not a stat multiplier but egg size: while it is active, unclaimed eggs on the map become visibly larger, and some become much larger than usual. Two creators describe it independently, one of them naming it as a reason to keep a fast mount equipped because the oversized eggs are still contested spawns.
It is not a mutation and it grants no trait. Treating it as a multiplier tier would be a category error, which is worth stating because it arrived in the same update as the hatched mutations.
The Fandom table files Gargantuan as an administrator-only weather that cannot occur naturally. Both videos treat it as part of normal play during Update 1. One of the two is wrong, and this site publishes both rather than choosing.
The same event is written Gigantua, Gigantor and Gargantuan across the sources checked, and auto captions garble the name in both videos. The effect is agreed; the name is not settled, so no spelling is presented as official. Source: Two creator guides filmed on 2026-09-19, cross-read against the Fandom admin weather row, checked 2026-09-20.
A rule this site published is now contradicted
This site used to state that a pet holds one mutation and that mutations do not stack. That is now wrong. Four accounts say a hatched mutation and a weather trait can sit on the same pet at once, and three of them were filmed on the day Update 1 opened, with one reading the update screen as the source. Nothing found says a pet can carry two weather traits, and nothing says a hatched mutation can be stacked twice, so the corrected rule is one of each rather than unlimited stacking.
The calculator still applies one multiplier at a time and keeps its assumption label, but for a different reason than before: the stacking question is settled, while the question of which stats each weather trait touches is not. A pet holding gold and shocked together is now a case the calculator can describe, and it does so as two multipliers applied in sequence rather than one.
Where this stands: resolved against the rule this site previously published. Both readings are published rather than one being chosen.
The update that settled the stacking question, filmed on the day it opened
This is the account that contradicts a rule this page used to publish. It reads the three hatched mutations off the update screen with both multipliers attached, and states that the update says they stack with weather traits, which is why the rule above now reads the way it does.

FULL GUIDE To NEW UPDATE in Ride A Pet! (MUTATIONS, NEW EGG, NEW WEATHER + RAINBOW)
SpaceQT · 2026-09-19 · 4:42 · 1,492 views at time of checking
What the captions add
Reads the 300 billion figure off the new egg and interprets it as a requirement, names the new weather event, gives the three hatched mutations with both multipliers, and states that the update says hatched mutations stack with weather traits. That last sentence is what forced this site to correct a stacking rule it had published wrongly for two rounds. Auto captions garble the weather event name, so no spelling is taken from here.
It is the only account checked that covers all three additions of the update in one pass with the numbers attached.
The magma mutation filmed end to end, including what happens when it fails
This is the account the magma section above is built on. It walks the route into the volcano, shows the drop prompt at the top, and then does the part the other write-ups skip: it fails. It demonstrates that the same egg cannot be attempted a second time, that a failed attempt deducts time from the egg's break timer, and that trying to cancel the roll by flying away makes the timer run faster instead.

How to get New Insane MAGMA MUTATION in Ride A Pet Roblox
GamerNom · 2026-09-27 · 4:46 · 2,108 views at time of checking
What the captions add
This is the account that carries the failure behaviour, which is the part a player actually needs. The route he films starts at the cave entrance at the back of the volcano and goes down while descending, which he notes has no time limit inside, then finds the egg, exits by the left-hand route with the wall kept on the left, and goes to the top of the volcano to drop it. Three of his observations are the ones published: the drop produces a chance rather than a guarantee, the same egg cannot be attempted a second time because the option disappears after it fails, and a failed attempt deducts a fixed amount from the egg's remaining time, which he reads off the counter on screen. He also tests and rejects a shortcut, flying at the moment of the drop to try to cancel it, and reports that this cancels the mutation and makes the timer run faster. That negative result is the most useful thing in the video and is published as his observation. He ends by saying he could not work out what the mutation does, and says he will make another video about it, so the effect is explicitly unknown rather than assumed here.
It supplies the one thing the shorter account cannot: what a failed attempt costs and whether it can be retried, which is the difference between a mechanic page and a mechanic rumour.
Common questions
- Can a pet have more than one mutation?
- Yes, one of each kind. A pet can carry a hatched mutation and a weather trait at the same time, which is what the update screen itself says. It cannot carry two weather traits, and a higher rung replaces a lower one rather than adding to it. This answer used to say no and never stack, and it is corrected here rather than quietly deleted, because the correction is the evidence that the rule changed.
- Should I put my best mutation on my best pet?
- Yes, and the reasoning is arithmetic rather than preference. A mutation is a multiplier, so it produces a bigger absolute gain on a pet with a higher base value. The same 4x on Kitsune is worth vastly more than the same 4x on Snail.
- How do I get a mutation?
- Through two systems rather than one, and mutations ride a pet searches usually want the second one. A hatched mutation is rolled when an egg opens, so the only lever there is which egg you hatch. A weather trait arrives during a weather event, and the lever is exposure: a pet in your pen can be struck, a pet you are riding can be struck but may carry you past the bolt, and a pet left in your inventory cannot be struck at all. A third route now exists as well: the magma mutation is applied to an egg at the volcano, it is chance-based, and an egg that fails cannot be used again. That one is documented in its own section below rather than here, because it converts an egg rather than a pet. One published name for the machine that grants mutations, the Mutation Machine, is not corroborated by any second source, so this page does not describe how it works.
- Why does every multiplier on this page carry a grade?
- Because two of the five are still not settled. The bottom three rungs are agreed by several sources, Void and Eternal name a cash figure everywhere and a speed figure nowhere, and the published tables disagree about whether the weather family multiplies speed alone or cash and speed together. The grades are the difference between what has been checked and what has only been repeated.
