Privacy policy
A static reference site with no accounts or forms - plus honest disclosure of the analytics and advertising partners it loads.
The short version
This is a static website. There is no login, no comment system and no newsletter, so nothing here ever asks you to hand over personal information. It does use a web analytics service and it carries a third-party advertising slot, and this page explains exactly what those do. An earlier version of this page stated that the site ran no advertising and no analytics; that stopped being true once those services were added, so the wording has been corrected rather than left standing.
What the hosting provider logs
The site is served by a hosting provider that, like every web host, processes standard request data to deliver pages and protect against abuse. That includes your IP address, the page requested, the referring page and your browser user agent. This is ordinary server operation rather than profiling: it is used to serve traffic, diagnose faults and block bot floods, and it ages out of the provider logs on their retention schedule.
Analytics
This site uses Google Analytics 4 (measurement ID G-37TPQ8YBWE) to understand which pages are actually read. Google Analytics sets first-party cookies whose names begin with _ga to distinguish visitors and sessions, and it processes your IP address and the pages you view. To protect page performance, the analytics tag is not fetched until you interact with the page (scroll, tap, move the pointer or type) or until a fallback timer expires. Where your region requires prior consent, the tag is not fetched at all until you agree, and consent signals are sent through Google Consent Mode v2 so that even the first request carries your choice.
Advertising
Content pages carry a single sponsored slot. That slot is currently served by Adsterra, a third-party advertising network, and once this site is approved for Google AdSense it may also be served through Google. When advertising is served, third parties - including Google and its advertising partners, and Adsterra and its partners - may place and read cookies, use web beacons, process IP addresses and read device identifiers in order to measure and, where you have agreed, personalise advertising. This includes the Google advertising cookies such as IDE, DSID, NID, __gads and __gpi. Personalised advertising is only used where you have given consent; where you have not, ads are served in a non-personalised mode.
Cookies
No cookie is required for this site to function, and blocking them all will not break any feature. The cookies you may receive fall into two groups. Analytics cookies (for example _ga and _ga_ followed by a suffix) are set by Google Analytics to measure traffic. Advertising cookies (for example IDE, DSID, NID, __gads, __gpi, and cookies set by Adsterra and its partners) are set to deliver and measure advertising, and to limit how often you see the same ad. The dark and light appearance of the site follows your operating system setting, which is read by your browser rather than stored by us.
Consent and your choices
Visitors in the European Economic Area and the United Kingdom are asked for consent before non-essential cookies are used. Visitors elsewhere are granted non-essential cookies by default, because their region does not require prior consent; you can still refuse at any time. You can accept or reject non-essential cookies in the banner, and you can change your mind later from the Cookie settings link in the footer on every page. Rejecting is a real withdrawal, not just a pause: it deletes the Google identifiers that have already been written - cookies such as _ga, _gid, IDE, DSID and the __gcl family - and stops further analytics and personalised advertising for your browser. To record your choice the site stores a single entry (consent-v1) in your browser local storage; clearing site data removes it.
Opting out of personalised advertising
You can review and change the advertising Google shows you at Google Ads Settings. Industry-wide opt-out tools are available at aboutads.info and, for European visitors, at youronlinechoices.eu. Blocking cookies in your browser or with an extension also limits advertising personalisation.
What is not collected
This site does not run accounts, does not provide forms to submit personal data, and does not knowingly collect personal information about you. We do not pass personal identifiers to Google or to any advertising partner in an ad request, and we do not build audience lists or use remarketing audiences. We do not collect precise location data. Aggregate counts, such as how many times a page was loaded, are not linked to an IP address or to any identifier that could point back to a person.
Children
The game this site documents is popular with younger players, so it is worth stating plainly: this site does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone, of any age, because it provides no field on the site in which to enter any. If you are a parent or guardian and have a concern about analytics or advertising data relating to a child, write to the address below and we will help you exercise the applicable controls.
Changes to this policy
If the analytics or advertising partners change, this page is updated to name the new provider and describe what it collects before that change ships, not after. A privacy policy that quietly falls out of step with what the site actually loads is worse than no policy at all, which is exactly why the earlier no-advertising wording was replaced.
